We also went to a cheese farm where we got info on how the cheese is
made.
We also got to taste a lot of cheese!
Of course we had to sample some of the famous Dutch chocolate.
And see some Dutch windmills.
And visit the local flower markets.
Of course the flower markets were along the canals (this is a view of
the back of the flower market).
We also visited and went inside Anne Frank's hiding place during World
War II.
The Church in the background is the one heard by Anne Frank while she
was in hiding ( I re-read the book on the flight over which is why I
remember).
A close up of the church.
A close up of the city of Amsterdam's logo. The three Xs
represent the three most common causes of death in medieval times
- plague,
fire
and water.
In addition to the more popular museums like
Van
Gogh, we went to some more off-the-beaten-track ones.
Anna, Mia, myself and Mum at the
Heineken
Beer Experience. We adopted Mai for the day whom we had met
on a tour earlier that day and was traveling by herself. Turns
out this picture is also the scene of our only illegal crime in
Amsterdam. We entered the bar and were given free beer which we
thought was very odd. Turns out we entered the bar though the
exit, and they assumed we were part of a tour of the factory that ended
with a free beer. Yeah us!
Whatcha think, the shoes too big?
That's It!
